Federer.  This year’s contest was conducted from October 27 through November 21, 2011 for all 3<sup>rd</sup>, 4<sup>th</sup> and 5<sup>th</sup> grade Clark County students.  The contest was an art project to tell a story about the dog owner and his/her pet.  “We received 125 entries, and the judging was extremely difficult due to the quality of the students’ projects,” Federer said.</p><p>The following are this year’s winners:</p><p>1<sup>st</sup> Place Winner is Gabrielle Limes and her dog, Luther.  Gabrielle is a 4<sup>th</sup> grade student at Northwestern Elementary.  Gabrielle will receive the “#1” heart-shaped 2012 Clark County dog tag, along with prizes for her dog.</p><p>2<sup>nd</sup> Place Winner is a 5<sup>th</sup> grade student at Snowhill School, Olivia Jenkins and her dog Gracie.  Olivia will receive the “#2” heart-shaped 2012 Clark County dog tag.</p><p>3<sup>rd</sup> Place Winner is Emma Ervin and her dog Bandit.  Emma, a 3<sup>rd</sup> grade student at Rolling Hills Elementary, will receive the “#3” heart-shaped 2012 Clark County tag.</p><p><a

isPermaLink="false">http://www.clarkcountyauditor.org/?p=1534</guid> <description><![CDATA[Auditor John Federer announced today the kick-off of the Annual “Top Dog Contest”, co-sponsored by the Clark County Humane Society.  The contest is open to all Clark County students currently in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade.  Contestants are asked to draw a picture of themselves and their dog or themselves and a dog that [...]]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Auditor John Federer announced today the kick-off of the Annual “Top Dog Contest”, co-sponsored by the Clark County Humane Society.  The contest is open to all Clark County students currently in the 3<sup>rd</sup>, 4<sup>th</sup> and 5<sup>th</sup> grade.  Contestants are asked to draw a picture of themselves and their dog or themselves and a dog that they help care for using pen, pencil, markers or paint (using 8 ½” x 11” paper).  Students are to mail their picture, along with a completed entry form, to:</p><p><strong>“Top Dog Contest”</strong><br

/> <strong>Springfield, OH  45501</strong></p><p>Entries may also be hand-delivered to the Auditor’s Office at 31 N. Limestone Street, Springfield. Do you think your dog is the TOP DOG   living in Clark County?  If so, you could win a special #1 Top Dog license tag for your dog!</p><p>Contest Rules: </p><p>The contest is open to all Clark County students currently in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade.  You must write, in 100 words or less, why you think your dog is the Top Dog in Clark County. You will be judged on your essay.  The dog and the student must live in Clark County.  Only one entry per student.  Please PRINT or TYPE clearly. Each entry must have: Student’s name, Full Address, Telephone  Number, School, Teacher’s Name, Grade and Name(s) of Parent or Guardian. Entries must be the sole work of the contestant. Entries must be received in the Clark County Auditor’s Office by 4 P.M. November 20, 2009.  Entries may be mailed to the Auditor’s Office, P.O. Box 1325, Springfield OH 45501, or hand delivered to the Auditor’s Office at 31 N. Limestone Street, Springfield, Ohio.  The Top Dog will receive the #1 Dog Tag for 2010 and the 2nd and 3rd place dogs will awarded free special heart shaped dog tag valued at $30.00.</p><p><a
