AUDITOR REMINDS TAXPAYERS OF APPROACHING DEADLINE FOR NEW APPLICANTS APPLYING FOR THE 2018 HOMESTEAD AND OWNER OCCUPANCY CREDITS

The 2018 tax year Homestead Exemption enrollment period for Real Property ends Monday, December 31, 2018.  Applications must be filed in the Auditor’s Office on or before the deadline.  Applicants must be 65 years of age or older OR be permanently and totally disabled.  The total Ohio Adjusted Gross Income of the owner and the spouse must be $32,200 or less for the preceding tax year.  Applicants must own their home on or before January 1, 2018 in order to qualify for 2018. If you are a disabled veteran and meet certain criteria you may be entitled to a Homestead reduction, and may contact our office for more information.  Applications are available in the Auditor’s Office at 31 N. Limestone Street, Springfield OH, by calling 937-521-1890 or online at www.clarkcountyauditor.org.

 

Homeowners who wish to submit an application for the 2018 tax year Owner-Occupancy 2.5% tax credit must also file with the Auditor’s Office on or before December 31, 2018. Applications for Owner Occupancy Credit are also available in the Auditor’s Office at 31 N. Limestone Street, Springfield OH, by calling 937-521-1890 or online at www.clarkcountyauditor.org.
